Free Up Your Hands With a Wrist Computer

    By Dave Peterson | April 8, 2009

As small as computing devices are getting, it’s high time we start strapping the things to our wrists, in the spirit of Dick Tracy’s two-way wrist television.  Glacier Computer has announced a new entry into this field, the W200 Wearable Computer.  Strap it onto your wrist and you’re ready to start tapping away at the 3.5″ color touchscreen.  The unit runs on Windows CE or Linux with modules that provide connectivity through Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, as well as GPS functionality.  The W200 is aimed at industrial markets where access to data is important, but keeping both hands free is also desirable.
