    Show and Tell on Twitxr

    By Dave Peterson | February 22, 2008

Here’s an interesting combination of two popular social networking sites: Twitxr, now in a public beta, combines the short text posting (and much of the interface style) of Twitter with the photo sharing of sites like Flickr. If you’ve ever used Twitter, posting photos on Twitxr will be pretty easy.  Actually, if you’ve got minor computer experience, it will be pretty easy, regardless of Twitter know-how.  There are three steps to posting: Enter a location, enter a text description (same 140 character limit as Twitter), and upload a photo.  Hit update and you’ve done it.  From the web site, this is compatible with any digital image. The site also offers an iPhone native app, but for the moment it only works on jail-broken iPhones, as it is a third-party application.  Here’s hoping for non-jail-broken compatibility after the iPhone SDK is released.
